more about the earrings

Each earring is made by hand, through a process of needle felting —essentially stabbing a piece of felting wool repeatedly with barbed needles, tying small knots in the fibers that bind the wool into shape.

With some designs, I also use embroidery threads and small bits of jewelry wire to represent all the details.

After the felt shape is done, I string it up on thread, and attach the preferred earring hooks. Then they are ready to adorn your ears.

Due to the nature of felt as a material, these designs are extremely lightweight and even squish-able. So, if you’re looking for big, fun, eye-catching jewelry that doesn’t weigh down your ears, try them out!

packaging & principles

I want to be proud of the art I create, and that extends to the sustainability principles I employ throughout the whole process.

In my packaging, I avoid plastic as much as possible (you’ll only find it in the required packaging tape and label) and use reclaimed materials where I can. I create my own linocut stamps, press them onto recycled paper, and source re-used materials for extras like tissue paper.

As a small beginning artist, my processes are still far from perfect in this realm. However, as I am able, I am committed to ensure I am taking accountability for what I produce and abiding by my sustainable principles at every step.

more about me as an artist

I’ve always been drawn to creative pursuits and dabbled in a lot of different mediums growing up.

I adore art making of all kinds, but drawing, painting, and ceramics have my heart.

Felt is also a really wonderful and practical medium for me as a young artist. With felt, I am able to make tactile artwork out of my tiny studio apartment. I hope to use this work as a foundation to be able to explore and share all of the art I love.

I am not currently selling any other mediums of art. However, I am open to commissions on a case by case basis.

If you like my work and have an idea for piece, please feel free to contact me.
